This is a detail shot of a Raspberry Frost Banksia from the botanical garden outside Kula, Maui, in February 2010. I used an Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

I took this photo while I was on vacation in Maui. Unfortunately, I cannot identify the plant in any of my guides. The photo was taken in a botanical garden outside Kula, Maui, last February. I used an Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

Maui has a tremendous variety of plantlife. I came across this unusual plant in The Garden of Eden on the Hana Road. I am not sure if this, strictly speaking, qualifies as a flowering plant, but I was attracted to it by its color and texture. The photo was taken in March 2010, with an Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

Heliconias are quite numerious in Maui and come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes. I saw this one at the Garden of Eden (on the Hana Road). The photo was taken in March 2010, with an Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

This is a fairly rare type of Hibiscus you do not see too often on Maui. If I can find a good frontal shot, I will post it. The photo was taken in March 2010, with an Olympus digital camera. Enjoy!
