Here is another shot from my hummingbird archives. I am quite fortunate to have hummingbirds as regular visitors in my garden. Indeed, I see them everyday and often photograph them. In this photo, a hummingbird is feeding on a hot lips salvia blossom, one of the bird's favourites. For those who may be curious, the dark bokeh is natural. The photo was taken in May 2019, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy and stay well.

This summer the hummingbirds were very active in my garden. There were at least four hummingbirds competing for dominance. Everyday I saw small dog fights in the sky over the garden. The one in the photo above was usually the victor, but the others would sneak in when she was not looking or distracted. No birds were ever hurt in these exchanges. One bird would simple chase the other(s) away. The photo was taken in June 2019, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

This is a photo of a hummingbird that has taken up residence in my backyard. I think it is the same one that was there last year. Although this little bird may seem slight and delicate, it is rather tough and determined to defend its feeding grounds. It regularly chases away all other hummingbirds from feeding on the flowers. I grow bee balm and hot lips which my friend above likes very much. The photo was taken in June 2019, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

P.S. I am still dealing with computer issues, so I have not been on Flickr a much as usual. It is time to buy a new computer.

Here is another shot of a hummingbird in my garden. As I have observed elsewhere, hummers love bee balm. I grow several types, though the hummers seem to favour the red ones. The photo was taken in June 2018, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.

This is the next shot in my backyard hummers series. In this shot, the hummingbird has paused to consider just where to begin feeding on this lovely red bee balm flower. The shot also shows the small size of hummingbirds. Next to hot lips salvia, I think the bee balm flower is one of the bird's favourite sources of food in the area. In addition to the red bee balm above, I also have pink and purple varieties, too. As a result, I see hummingbirds everyday in my garden. :) The photo was taken in June 2018, withy my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.
