We've had a couple days of solid rain the past week here in Chicago...and last night was enough to do us in....
Almost everywhere within Chicago city limits reported 5+ inches of rain today (A new record was set at O'Hare with 6.81 inches of rain) and a warm front that just likes hovering around our area and the remnants of Hurricane Ike are not going to help....

If I had a guess the North Branch of the Chicago River is about 5-8ft above flood stage...this is supposed to be the start of a bike trail off of Foster Ave that follows the river through the park and towards the old CNW Skokie Valley/Weber lines....
