I meant to do this yesterday but I didn't have time...a year in review via pictures...I tried to include pictures most of you haven't seen and this is an exception....
A stopped ICE trian at the siding in Genoa...I played around with the double exposure feature on my D80 to get this baby....
Keats was driving this day (thanks kiddo!) back in January...and a couple months later ICE drifted into the Fallen Flag status after being taken over by the Canadian Pacific...little did I know how many miles and how much money I'd spend chasing this damn railroad around for the rest of the year!

Ah...another classic! What fun is taking pictures and not being able to share them with all your friends? Broccolli included!

The pair of Canuck Class Ones bought out two VERY neat American Railroads this year...the CP bought the DME/ICE and the CN will take over the EJE in early 2009....
EJE and CN roadfrieghts at Chicago Heights a couple months apart....

Not since 1993 had the American Rail system been this messed up...the floods of 2008 brought great hardship to Americas heartland but made railfans in the middle of the country pretty happy....
Nearly every railroad in the midwest had to reroute traffic...especially the ICE...and I was all over it...here is the first southbound detour I ever caught on the CP at Rondout....

What an awesome year for music...most of my favorite bands put out new releases and came to Chicago so I could see them live...those bands include The Fall Of Troy, Minus The Bear, Portugal The Man, Tera Melos, Foxy Shazam, The Annuals, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Rage Against The Machine and many more....
Not to mention my band made a pretty sweet demo..but we'll get to that later :)
