Tell ya the truth, I'm only taking pictures with my Polaroid, right now. Feels right, feels like the camera I need to take the pictures I want to take. All I want are the close-up portraits I worked so hard to get right, back when I was just getting serious.

I love my Canon 5D mark II...but it doesn't call to me. None of my other cameras are really calling to me...I was telling somebody just this weekend, they're all just tools, hammers, screwdrivers, cameras...but I'll tell ya, a hammer never calls to me the way my Polaroid cameras do.

Sounds like an advertisement, but it's really a personal recognition that maybe the tools Do matters some. Maybe the way it is with clothes, or a car, they're all functional, but some of 'em fit better than others.

The framing, the sounds this camera makes, the use of film, the forced limitations, it's all where I want to be, creatively. Right tool for the right job maybe means finding the right tool to suit what you're feeling as an artist.

This camera's damn good at catching Paige's smile just right, which is essential, as her smile is goddamn fantastic.
