She's in the middle of the second phase of a 'creative' distress-toration.

The new chrome job that was done by a previous owner stuck out like a sore thumb and the newest owner wanted me to soften things up a bit...

Decals were made, some paint was applied based on conversations with a very previous owner out in Ca. (he builds a frame or two, is a fabulous machinist, has a sweet, tall wife who sells jerseys sometimes, and rides fast).....they are both CR members....

The bags ( from Wayne at Mel Pinto Imports/Velo Classique) are too late for the bike, and won't go with her when she is picked up,, but some early Sologne's, same size and shape
would look great on this bike.

It's been frigid out here, we've had several snow falls and a bit of ice the last few weeks,,
but today it soared to 50 degrees,,,, not bad for December 21st, the First Day of Winter.

I haven't ridden in weeks, but did a shoreline ride today,, good tonic for the soul.

Seeing the blue sky and the white gull, it's not hard to imagine where my logo came from.

Last nights fast paced group ride had 21 riders.
There were 5 or 6 women in the field including the two Jen's and Kim in the photo above.

Don't let them fool you.
As sweet and charming as they appear in the photo, (they are in real life as well),
they can motor out on the road,,, they are strong and fluid on their bikes.

And, when they pass you,,,, they still have that same sweet smile that beguiles their effort, they make it look so effortless.

We had a great ride last night. Thanks to Todd and Anthony for leading, you guys always do such a great job and make it fun,, and challenging !
