Taken 31/03/20 during one on my Covid-19 lock down cycle rides and that is my 'trusty treader' leaning on the railings.
The Castleman’s Corkscrew was the convoluted Brockenhurst to Broadstone section of the 1847 Southampton to Dorchester Railway that closed on 4 May 1964. Large sections are now cycle routes. The Bickerley Mill Stream is a side stream of the Hampshire Avon and if you are heading west this is the first of three extant bridges. The next takes the route over the main river and the third over another side stream, which I guess is the King's Stream.
In one snap I've manged to combine three of my interests - railways, cycling and fishing; the Bickerley Mill Stream offers good winter fishing for chub dace and roach, especially when the main river is flooded, but a frosty morning can 'kill' the fishing.

Taken 02/05/18 just past Crow Lane; The Castleman Corkscrew is the popular name for the convoluted Brockenhurst to Broadstone section of the 1847 Southampton to Dorchester Railway that closed on 4 May 1964. Much of the route is accessible as cycle paths or foot paths.
Taken on 26/04/20 on one of my Covid-19 lock down daily exercise cycles, that included the stretch of the Castleman Trail from Burbush Car Park (on the Thorney Hill to Burley Road) to the site of the former Holmsley Station.
Cycling west to east from Burbush this is the first crossing you reach, my guess it could only have been a commoner's track that crossed the line here. Four posts remain although only three appear in this snap.
