Taken 28/10/11: In its BR guise as No. 60019, 'Bittern' was a member of the M-HR's working fleet from 2007 to 2010, before moving on to a main line role based at Southall. A frequent visitor to my neck of the woods, especially on the 'Dorset Coast Express, 'Bittrern' also appeared at Swanage's gala a couple of months or so back.
Taken 28/10/11: Originally classmate 'Sir Nigel Gresley' was due to be the A4 attending the Gala, but that loco's unavailibilty paved the way for 'Bittern' to return temporarily to M-HR metals.

Taken 28/10/11: Delays in the services from Alton meant I had time to photograph the A4 at Ropley, travel behind it to M&4M and not only photograph it there, but make it up the footpath in time to catch it in the deep cutting just east of Medstead.
Taken 28/10/11: 'Lord Nelson' is currently on long-term loan to the M-HR from the NRM.
