Taken 07/01/12: This, and the eleven following snaps, were taken on the drive back from Guildford after dropping off 'The Light of my Darkness' at University. The L&SWR reached Farnham in 1849 by way of a single branch from Guildord via Ash Green, which was extended on to Alton in 1852. The line from Aldershot reached Farnham in 186? and, on eletricifcation in 1937, the line via Ash Green closed to passengers. I stopped off here 'on spec', but probably should have done some research in advance, because today I looked at 'Railways of the Southern Railway' by Geoffrey Body (although admittdly my copy was published in 1989) and the inference is that traces of the junction of the former line to Guildford can still be seen.

Taken 15/06/19: A few years back I snapped the roadside aspect of the station, so the view of the platform.

Taken 07/01/12: Given the current use of this building, it is somewhat ironic that I spent the following morning persauding our dead Astra it wanted to start.

Taken 15/06/19: I took a picture of this in 2012 and the next day the Astra had a flat battery. I arrived home after taking this picture to learn that the Focus had a flat battery. Spooky!
