Taken 27/02/13: A brief history:
1849 - The London & South Western Railway opened a double track line from Guildford through Ash Green and Tongham to Farnham.
1852 - Line extended to Alton.
1876 - This station renamed from Ash to Ash Green.
1898 - A short branch was opened from Tongham to Aldershot Gas Works.
1926 - Station renamed again, this time to Ash Green Halt.
1930 - Lline singled
1937 - The passenger service to Tongham and Ash Green ceased.The line remained open for goods and to serve the gas works.
1960 - Goods lraffic ceases.
1961 - Track lifted.
