With another fine day forecast, I went over to the GC on Sunday.
Here 6990 "Witherslack Hall" leads the 09.30 Loughborough - Leicester.
Anyone planning a visit should be aware that we are on borrowed time for views here, the building site is just to the left of the picture, and progressing rapidly.

This was the last weekend here for this visiting Class 33, seen here with the 10.20 Loughborough - Leicester.
Obviously not a prototype match on the Chocolate & cream Mk1's, but looks quite nice nonetheless!

At my age, I should probably know better than to do pictures in the middle of the day in May!
However 6990 makes a fine sight pounding round the curve here, with the well kept embankments, on the 12.50 Loughborough - Leicester.

The 13.00 Diner from Loughborough was lead by "Oliver Cromwell", looking immaculate as it slowed for the pause on the viaduct at Swithland.
In case anyone is wondering, the combination of clear blue skies and spring colours did produce the striking greens seen in these pictures, not a common event in these parts!
