73962 tnt 73964 work the 11.15 Derby RTC - Eastleigh Arlington test train, dead on time.

Amazing that these locos are still running after so many years.

A couple from Monday.

Rail Operations Group 47815 tnt 47813 pass Barrow with the 09.43 Neville Hill - Leicester move, comprising two Arlington coaches.

If the man on the left sees this, then fear not, your bright red coat has only changed colour in photoshop!

Carrying the latest Northern livery, this I think is a Preston - York service that will run via Copy Pit.

The 09.55 Preston Docks - Lindsey empty bitumen tanks passes the gallery here standing on Todd Lane South. An unhelpfully hazy morning, and not a pair of 56's!

The famous steam shed here was situated just beyond the bridge at the rear of the train, and the site now appears to be being redeveloped, presumably for housing.

GBRf's 60026, still in Colas colours, trundles over the ladder here onto the Knottingley lines with the 12.24 Tyne Dock - Drax. The shadow from the trees on the left would have been somewhat less had the train not sat near Sherburn for half an hour due to some operating problem.

The level of inactivity here is truly shocking to anyone who experienced the heyday of the Selby coalfield and Gascoigne Wood, which was just around the corner on the right, behind the trees.
