The first departure from Whittlesey on the 341 route to Ramsey was this Scania N113/ Northern Counties, from Redfern Travel of Mansfield.

Seen a mile or so south of Whittlesey on the B1040, the Delaine Heritage Trust's Leyland Tiger/ Duple Dominant formed the 10.45 departure to Ramsey.
I doubt if there is one telegraph pole in the Fens that stands straight, with land subsidence and wind across the flatness both contributing to them leaning. The road along here is abysmal, anything much over forty mph and you will be very likely to catch the car underside on one of the humps caused by subsidence, as did at least one of the buses!

I followed the 341 route around during the day, being the busiest with a 15 minute interval service.
Here Dan's Coach Travel's L872 SGW, Volvo B10M-61/ Van Hool, forms the 11.00 from Whittlesey.
