It is seen here approaching Quorn with the 09.45 Loughborough to Rothley fully-fitted, thankfully I seem to remember moments after the sun broke through the cloud.

The second run of the WD with the minerals, timed at 11.45 from Loughborough to Rothley, was never going to be a winner for the light, and for once I went for a "wrong side" shot.

At least the stormy sky has put a bit of life into the picture.

In a re-enactment of the banking operations on Shap - but without the gradient - the 14.50 from Loughborough - Leicester ran with the visiting Stanier tank on the rear of the train.
