The railway rightly prided itself on the authenticity of the signals, and this "frame" I know was used by many photographers over the years.
The train is the 14.55 Loughborough - Rothley. Unfortunately I pressed the shutter to exactly coincide with a telegraph pole appearing to come out of the chimney, so this and the associated wires have been removed in Photoshop.

Not too long after the Q6 was this BR standard, with the 11.50 Loughborough - Leicester.

I caught up with the train a bit later, after a few wagons had been added at Quorn.

Some photographers have been removed in Photoshop from the bridge parapet.

The "1960's Gala" at the GCR in 2009 welcomed the NER Q6 as a visitor.
It is seen here on the 10.20 Loughborough - Rothley trip, passing the pleasant fields here which sadly are now a housing estate.
