A few shots at the Locomotive depot in Kyiv just outside the main passenger station, and responsible mainly for maintaining passenger locos.
At the time of the photograph, these were fairly new, being built at Dnipropetrovsk between 2003 and 2008, one assumes in a joint venture with Siemens. For the 25Kv, 50Hz electrified lines in the west of the country.

Seen on the turntable here, this is one of the ChS4 classs rebuilt with a standard cab. See next shot for the original style.
They were constructed originally by Škoda, Plzeň, between 1963 and 1972.

This is one of the ChS4's as originally built, with a similarity in body style to the ČSD 230 and 240 Laminatka class. These are somewhat larger however, built to Soviet rather than European loading gauge. This is a rather nice view of one of the few Czech dual voltage conversions on shed www.flickr.com/photos/mlrail/52698125012
The ChS prefix is an abbreviation for Czechoslovakia, the country of origin, with what are now Czechia and Slovakia being one prior to 1993.
What appear to be three nearly new DS3's can be seen behind.

The ChS8's are double locos also built by Škoda between 1983 and 1988 with a modern cab, and it can be seen here that the ChS4 rebuilds carry the same cab style.

Continuing with the pictures at the Locomotive Depot here from 2010.
This ChS8 double electric is a very tight fit indeed on the turntable here, which serves the stalls to the roundhouse.
