Hands down our favourite waterfall in Iceland out of the 55 falls we shot on our journey around the country. This is pretty much the view that greets you on the walk up the valley to Kvernufoss. Straight out of a scene from Lord of the Rings, or so it seems. It is claimed by many that nearby Seljalandfoss is special because it is the only waterfall in Iceland you can walk behind, but you can also walk behind Kvernufoss and shoot it from that perspective without getting hit by spray, which we also did on one of several treks we made to this magnificent place, away from the hordes.
