Aoraki, aka Mount Cook is New Zealand's highest peak. It also happens to be under the flight path for international flights coming into Christchurch; hence the dispersing sky trail.

Shot on our descent from the Sealy Tarns track with an IR 5D2.

The back burning operation that went horribly wrong, creating a fire that now threatens the Grose Valley and the northern parts of several towns, including Katoomba, where we live. Shot from Evans Lookout. I was 10km from the fire but soon I could clearly see the massive flames, to the left of Mt Banks, as the fire crossed the Bells Line of Road and down the valley escarpment.
