energy-inefficient sliding glass doors replaced by walls & windows in classrooms, more rooms were added, new auditorium & a second gymnasium were built, and the fieldhouse got a wooden floor-originally had a dirt floor. Here a new main entrance was put in. This was the first time I went inside this school since I was a student 45 years earlier.

this was the typing room at Cold Spring Harbor high school.Not having been inside in the past 45years,I did'nt find it very surprising that there are five of these computer rooms today. Projector at upper left on ceiling is part of a smartboard system where a computer image is projected and special pens are used to change the image.

at CSHHS. Innovative in the early 1960s,this was a good idea in that you could play just about any sport or activity there or have 2 or more things going on.Originally had a dirt floor with a basketball court assembled in sections & skylights. Now has a wooden floor & no skylights because of a moisture problem. The school now has another gym besides this.
