This young lady in period costume and knitting next to the window was captured at the Blists Hill Victorian Town Museum at Ironbridge, Shropshire. She was inside an original workman's cottage built between 1825 and 1841 at Burroughs Bank Near Telford. It was moved to the museum in 1979 and is one of many exhibits which demonstrate how basic and harsh life was in Victorian times.
