Born on October 2, 2013 at Albuquerque Zoo. I've never seen a calf before and I think this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Just watching her follow her Mum Rozie was wonderful! So sweet.

Since 1782 the Bald Eagle has been the national emblem for the United States and a spiritual symbol for native people for much longer. It's eye is almost as large as that of a human, but its sharpness is at least four times that of a person with perfect vision. Although no longer on the endangered list it is still protected.....and quite rightly so! Today, there are an estimated 9,789 breeding pairs of bald eagles.

This is one of my fav adobe buildings. I think it's an office, but wouldn't it make such a dream house? Look at the shapes, the vigas and the doors! Just so beautiful....and...complete with wagons, I love it!! I only hope this never is left abandoned!

Blott on the Landscape is a novel by Tom Sharpe* which was first published in 1975. The book was adapted into a 6-part television series for BBC television in 1985.
*Tom Sharpe 30 March 1928 – 6 June 2013 was an English satirical novelist, best known for his Wilt series, as well as Porterhouse Blue and Blott on the Landscape. I read all of his books but my favourites had to be Porterhouse Blue and Blott on the Landscape.
