You are probably familiar with the feeling that with some photos you already know that the shot is something special the moment you take it. That was exactly the case with this photo for me.
The sunset was shaping up to be spectacular and the reflections in the water were just perfect. So I sprinted down to the shoreline, rented a boat and told the owner to take me out into the middle of the lake where I was able to capture this fantastic shot.

Definitely one of the most spectacular sunsets I've witnessed in my life. While living in Sydney I did a camping trip to Port Stephens with a few friends over the weekend. We were sitting on Stockton Beach, which is home to the largest sand dunes in the southern hemisphere, enjoying a few beers and waiting for sunset. When it finally came it delivered a colourful show unlike anything I've seen before - the colours you see in the photo are real and not modified!
