Superbe journée ensoleillée et vraiment pas froide de la fin février. Je me suis rendu à cet endroit, car ce magnifique Tohi mâle y était rapporté depuis le début de l'hiver, mais je n'avais pas eu le temps de m'y rendre. Une autre rareté en hiver pour le Québec. C'est donc avec un ami que nous sommes allés à sa recherche. Pas de chance la première heure de recherche, jusqu'à ce qu'un résident de cette rue que j'avais très bien connue dans le passé m'indique l'endroit où il se terrait. Le reste fut un jeu de cache-cache avec lui.

A beautiful sunny and really not cold day at the end of February. I went to this place because this magnificent male Towhee had been reported there since the beginning of winter, but I had not had time to go there. Another rarity in winter for Quebec. So it was with a friend that we went looking for him. No luck the first hour of searching, until a resident of this street that I had known very well in the past told me where he was hiding. The rest was a game of hide and seek with him.

When snowy owls are hunting rodents, many times they will grab a clump of grass with it and inside is the rodent. I have seen this many times.
