70000 'Britannia' departs Hellifield with the return 1Z87 Carlisle to Bristol TM 'Cumbrian Mountain Express'. The Standard would work the train to Crewe where a diesel would take over 10th March 2012.

56124 'Blue Circle Cement' seen at Sands Lane, Mirfield working what I think is the Stanlow - Leeds oil train. I am unable to identify the date I took this but with the shadows and frost on the sleepers it is during the winter months in the mid 80's.
The large green field on the right is now a large fishing lake which is now obscured by vegetation.
