D7672 was a celebrity loco at the time, probably the last 25 in service. Seen here ready to depart Leeds on a Railtour to Carlisle piloting 47422 (for ETH only) on 24th February 1990.

25173 with 81022 are seen outside Allerton depot in Liverpool 2nd February 1985.
This was in the days before H &S and you would get permission from a friendly shed master to go around the shed.

25906 is seen at Crewe in the early hours of 4th January 1986. I had spent the night on the station to photograph and observe the numerous trains that stopped at Crewe overnight. In the days when newspapers, mail including Travelling Post Office trains would make it a busy night.
