An exquisite scene at Afon Wen showing BR Standard 3MT class 2-6-2T No 82031 shunting the 8.23 am freight from Barmouth on an August morning in 1959. This freight was due into Afon Wen at around 10.27 am and was due to cross the 10.25 am Pwllheli to Barmouth passenger service at around 10.37 am hauled on this occasion by BR Standard 4MT class 4-6-0 No 75020. The freight had 23 minutes to knock in and pull out any traffic which on this occasion looks to be a 12Ton covered van and possibly an ex-GWR 'Mink 'A' van. being propelled onto the waiting consist.

BR Blue 69007 “Richard Trevithick” and recently released 69013 still in its base coat primer, lift a lengthy train of HOBC wagons away from Derby, seen at Pride Park with 7M18 07:23 Doncaster Up Decoy - Toton North Yard tripper.
