Gordonsville is a small town that Anita and I pass through going to Richmond. They put these lights up in early November and it makes the whole town seem like a fairy land! :)

After much toing and froing, we finally found the street and the shopping center with the candy store. I declined to go in (just Too Tempting for someone not supposed to have the stuff!!!) but no matter where I sit, the camera is going. We parked in front of this building which I think was some sort of bar/ restaurant and I caught this reflection scene. I was keeping in mind that this months assignment for my photo club was 3 photos of reflections and I think I got a good one. :) You will find Anita in the shot as she turns her head to look at a street performing Mime. We were at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens just before dark which gave some nice affects to the lights. Virginia has this thing about Love signs and most towns, cities etc will have at least one and they are all made up of different materials, mostly showing the nature of the city or area. Some people enjoy traveling the state in search of the signs. That is the conservatory in the background. We were blessed by the weather as it had been raining off and on all day.

It wasn't too far from Echo Park into the city of Richmond so it just seemed right to go in and explore. We didn't really have any reason too, except for a candy shop that Anita remembered that carried about a bazillion different kinds of Jelly Beans...not to mention Chocolate. I think this mural represents pretty well how I feel about going into a city! LOL

I forgot how many lights they told us made up this Peacock at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond...thousands. That is the moon coming up behind this beautiful creature, but a poor capture of it I confess! I would like to wish everyone a very blessed and safe holiday season and may you be able to spend it with loved ones and friends in perfect harmony and peace. And wouldn't it be so lovely if that harmony and peace had a ripple affect that spanned across countries and nations? :)
