Yes, we saw a Lot of barns this past Sunday on our adventure out and about but this one won the award for most interesting because what happens when your addition is about to face plant but you still want to store hay in it? Easy, you just prop the thing up with a couple of sturdy poles and get on with life. Not a great photo, but it was taken past Anita's head as she was driving, didn't stop and it was on her side of the car! LOL OK, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Yep, another old barn! LOL this one is close to home and we saw it on our return trip from last Sundays adventures. One thing I have always wondered about, and no amount of Googling has turned up an answer... is why are the barn doors shaped like that? Why aren't they just square openings? It's a curiosity! Hope you all are having a grand week!

Anita and I are not put off by rain (even tho it wasn't supposed to rain yesterday) and we generally go on adventures anyway and enjoy the day. This barn was in our beloved Highland County and I liked the way the rain made that old tin roof shine! Most of the mountains that this area is known for were invisible yesterday due to the fog that lay heavy all around. Still we spent about 12 hours out roaming the roads and seeing the sights. We did discover two new roads and Happily one that went over the top of Reddish Knob and was a much closer drive home on a nearly deserted road. A great day for sure! :)

Taken on our way to or from Richmond Virginia last Sunday. I can't remember which now. We don't know which direction we are headed today, whether it will be city or country, east, south, west or north. It would seem we are running out of new places to explore and that is a very sad thing indeed! Things get complicated when I have to be home by 3PM to babysit but I wouldn't trade that for the world so here's to finding adventures close to home! Have a fabulous Sunday everyone!
