This was taken at the Kale [fort] in Van, overlooking Van Lake looking west into the sunset.
Sadly, a few weeks after this was taken, there was a devasting earthquake in the Van area.

[Note: It's the 'rainy season living near the rain forest' in the Pacific NW, so its time to do some work in the archives =:-]

It was nippy that morning, -11 C [mid teens F]; seems it fazed her little in that she'd be back in the warmth of the baking room soon. I was as bundled up as her customers.
