well, i thought I would take a leisurely train trip to baishatun since i've never been to that part of taiwan...kinda. but i noticed something on the train...orange hats. the orange caps keep increasing the closer I got to baishatun. It appears that my stop at baishatun was a crowded one, with orange caps everywhere, signifying.....The baishatun mazu pilgrimage*. people were celebrating and there were probably a thousand people or so near the train station, crowded!
it was a wonderful experience at usual...friendly people, offering free drinks, food and traditional taiwanese treats.
