It looks like one of those Crewe Diesel duffs that get everywhere so it should be no surprise to find one lurking about the Buxton area. However, the internet tells me this particular ex Crewe Diesel duff is now an Immingham / Buxton construction pool loco just like the 37s. It spent December 1990 to July 1991 as a Buxton engine after which it went off to the sunnier climes of the Network South East Western Region Locos pool at Old Oak. And then was immediately withdrawn. It must have had some usefiul spares on it as it lingered for some time, eventually being scrapped in 1997. |
