Today's summit was one I was half familiar with… The Twin Sisters and their twin peaks sit straight across from Longs Leak and provide one of the best panoramic views of Longs Peak you can get. You can see Longs and all the surrounding mountains (Mount Meeker, Mount Lady Washington, Estes Cone, etc.). I had done this hike before, but I only did one of the two peaks on Twin Sisters- today I did them both.
This hike was everything I remembered: it was just up the whole way. The trail winds through Rocky Mountain National Park, through the National Forest, and then back into the park. It didn't take me too long to summit, and it was such a great feeling standing on top of that beauty. This made every part of my day!
