And with that, my 2021 Colorado Adventure season kicks off… 14 hours of driving in the first day will make for a very long day. My hope if that the tunes will keep me going to my final destination: a comfy bed and pillow in Hays, Kansas!

I made it to my beloved mountains… this trip season will be very, very different in that I am spending 5 days to prepare for just 1 hike. Every hike, every day is different but designed for just that. Today’s hike took me to a high elevation on Trail Ridge Road to get my body acclimatized to the higher elevation.

The wind was insane, and the gusts were even worse, but it was great to be standing amongst these mountains once again…. I have missed them so very much!
