Some undulating altocumulus castelanus, lit by the rising sun, with low stratus on the horizon. Not sure whether or not I would call this "asperatus" cloud, a new cloud classification that didn't exist when I was a weather observer.

An amazing display from the Woodend Barn, Banchory, the colours were clearly visible to the naked eye, with bands extending south of the magnetic zenith at one point. Composed of 3, 6 second exposures taken around 2022 UTC, Samyang 14mm lens, f2.8, ISO 2000.
