Now I am Fin!! So please indulge the history geek in me!

When I saw that NiR McBride of [sau] created a ME 262 I just had to have it!

I was a model builder as a kidd and there was nothing funner than creating dioramas. This is my little pixelated diorama.

Fun Facts:

The ME 262 was the 1st operational jet fighter in history.

Top speed of the ME 262 was 540 mph vrs the P-51s 430mph

The pilot in the image depicts the cigar chomping fighter ace Generalleutnant Adolf Galland a true knight of the air.

After falling out favor with high command, he finished ww2 back in cockpit flying the ME 262 until the end of hostilities. Racking up 7 more victories in the 262 to add to his total war tally of 104.

Creation Notes:
I shot this series entirely on my Green Acres sim.

I took advantage of the sim surround & the weather dome to give it the effect of late 1944 European sky.

On this capture all the bombers are actually rezzed miniature B-17s I had in my inventory that were only 2 impacts each. This allowed me to form the 3 full squadrons flying in a combat box formation.

A Final Somber Note:
Flying in the European Theater in WWII was a deadly dangerous business. The casualty rates for the US 8th Air Force was over 26,000 KIA RAF Bomber Command 56,000 & the German Luftwaffe estimated air crew losses were 50,000.
