A hoogholtje is a typical footbridge and is used mainly in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands.( This one is situated in the province of Drenthe ! )
It's high enough to pass small boats and low barges .On both sides there are stairs to use the bridge .From Wikipedia .

This afternoon we made a bicycletour around the Zuidlaarder meer/lake , it was about 24 km .
This is not too far from where we live and i have wanted to take this shot for a long time.
Today there were no other people around, there wasn't much wind so it was a great oportunity to finally take this shot . You can also cross this footbridge with your bicycle !!!!
