Xziva was looking at A outside, she was facing the window, it was sunny so the light fell on her face, I love the white on her muzzle and on top of her nose.
This is my first try just not sure if this is chiaroscuro ??

I just straightened the photo and added a little sharpness.

Another version, as suggested I added black to the light wall and than set the photo to B&W.
What I knew was that in the square crop there wasn't enough space in front of Xziva so that is solved.
I also increased the contrast just a little bit as suggested, thanks for those suggestions Karen to help me get what i wanted :)

I underexposed the shot by about 3 - 4 stops in case you want to know how I took it.
50 mm lens and f/2.5 and I had the whitebalence on cloudy, I always use that setting it works best for my camera I think.

I choose this photo as my final image for the challenge.
I wanted to do a kind of Rembrandt shot, we are after all Dutch :), but I couldn't get the light I wanted, will try it again.

I love the diagonal in this one and the hint of her eye, you can see the catchlight .
I used a black cloth as a background, the light is coming from her left.
I focussed where the light fell on her head.
Again 3 to 4 for stops underexposed,f/5 and 50 mm lens.
