Xanttha came to us at 7 months , her owner didn't want her anymore ! She was not very well socialised but with hard work and lots of patience she became a very social and sweet girl. Here she shares her bed with my Mom's last dog Ithan.
The photo was taken on april 6th 2007 when she was 8 years old.

Xziva - 02/03/2009 - 09/11/2017
We got Xziva in 2009 about 6 months after we lost Xanttha.
She was a handful, we had to work really hard with her but it was all worth it. It still makes me so sad to think about her and look at her photo's, I miss her terribly :(

Here she is 10 weeks old and we just got her.
She was such a big cute puppy, all ears and big feet. We never had an energetic pup like her, well Zenda was a bit like her. She was always running, had to go see dogs, sniff places and run to see if something exiting was going on :) my clown.

I was going to give this another try but it's a very dark day and not expecting better days this week .
I'm not completely satisfied with this, it doesn't look sharp enough to me .
What i do like is the light in the left corner ,on her head and around her lip.
I hung up this drape, a little sunlight came from above it and some light came from where she is facing. I also used the flash and tried to soften it by putting a cd in front of it :) still no good flash !
I used the Auto programm, 50mm lens; 1/60 sec ; f/2.8 ; iso 200 ; multy segment ; WB auto and flash .
Since this shot had not enough space in front of her face i had to make a new transparent file , cut off a piece in front of her and then i pasted the photo onto the transparent layer and moved it to the left and pasted the cut part in front of her .Smoothed out the line this created .
The things i have learned this year :)
This will be a challenge for next year :)
