The roof of the house can be seen through the front fencing. Across the Dart estuary is Kingswear with the lower ferry just beginning its short journey across the river.

Considering that Dartmouth and the Dart Estuary are so photogenic, I'm surprised that I've uploaded so few shots from our week there last September. It's all the more surprising since we had such a magnificent view across the river to Kingswear from our accommodation.
This is one such morning view from the house with the sun just creeping over the hill above Kingswear.

Another belated upload from our week's holiday in Dartmouth last September, again taken from our accommodation looking out to sea (in fact the house was named 'Out to Sea').

Our weather for the week was pretty good overall though there were two days in which the cloud never rose above ca 200ft all day and was accompanied by rainfall from time to time. This was the first of of them, though by the early evening when this was taken, it was beginning to lift and the next day was glorious.
