Since it's our wedding anniversary today (41 if anyone's interested), Liz & I decided that we would head for the beach rather than Alnwick golf course which has been pretty much the sole dog-walking venue for the last few weeks of our 'lockdown'.
As you can see it was a glorious, if a tad chilly, day & delightfully deserted!

Not Bondi (ca 30 degrees C), but Alnmouth (3 degrees C)!!
Great to see the sun though - and definitely no crowds for the police to disperse!
Hope you all had a lovely day.

The well-known & much-photographed black boulders at the south end of Embleton Bay, usually displayed with Dunstanburgh Castle in the background (including by me! flic.kr/p/2hHgWJ8
flic.kr/p/2kHT4Ze).
They need to be seen when wet (otherwise they are a boring pale to mid grey colour), but this makes them incredibly treacherous to get amongst.....

A gloomy and at times very rainy October afternoon meant that very few people were braving the elements. Hence Teazel and I had the beach pretty much to ourselves.
But it would take more than rain and gloom to take away the beauty of Embleton Bay & the ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle.
