First of all, happy new year guys. :)
YJ56 LJA was part of a bigger batch of BMC Condors purchased by the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (Metro) as part of it's MyBus scheme, the other third of the MyBus fleet being Wright Renowns owned by Transdev.
I can remember being in school in Year 3 and walking out of class (permission given of course) to see the double decker allocated to the swimming trips. Normally, it would have been an Alexander RH or an Alexander Royale (In other words, my favourites). Imagine my surprise once I got to Year 4 and discovered that I would in fact be going swimming myself on a BMC Condor. I had never even heard of the Condor by that point! Regardless, many remain in West Yorkshire somehow however as Metro are ending the MyBus scheme, many have been sold on.
