Mather Point is the most popular viewpoint at the Grand Canyon. Tourists visiting for the first time, get an amazing view of the immensity of the canyon. At this point the canyon is 1 mile deep (1600 m) and 10 miles across (16 km).

Mauna Kea is a dormant volcano on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi which last erupted 4000 years ago. At 13,796 ft (4,205 m) above sea level and over 33,000 ft (10,058 m) from the bottom of the ocean floor, Mauna Kea is the tallest sea mountain in the world. Its summit is home to the world’s largest observatory for optical, infrared and submillimeter astronomy. Research teams from eleven different countries operate 13 telescopes on the summit.
In Hawaiian mythology, Mauna Kea is home to the snow goddess Poli‘ahu. In ancient times, the summit was considered the realm of the gods and was kapu (forbidden) to all except the highest chiefs and priests.

Point Loma is historically important as the landing place of the first European expedition to come ashore in present-day California. The peninsula has been described as "where California began". Geographically it is a hilly peninsula that is bordered on the west and south by the Pacific Ocean, the east by the San Diego Bay and Old Town, and the north by the San Diego River. Geologically, the strata in this sedimentary formation date back to the Cretaceous period of the Mesozoic Era .

The Plaza de España is located in the Parque de María Luisa in Seville, Spain, built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. It is a landmark example of the Regionalism Architecture, mixing elements of the Renaissance Revival and Moorish Revival styles of Spanish architecture.

200 kilometers west of the resort city of Cancún is Chichén Itzá, one of Mexico's best-restored archaeological sites. The Mayans were great sportsmen and built large ballcourts to play their games. The Great Ballcourt of Chichen Itza is 225 feet wide and 545 feet long overall. Each end has a raised temple. At one end of the field is the Templo Norte/ North Temple, popularly called the Temple of the Bearded Man.
