The Yellowstone Falls consist of two major waterfalls on the Yellowstone River, within the National Park. The Lower Falls are larger and better known, but the magnitude of Upper Falls is stunning and breathtaking. It drops 109 ft. (33 m) to the river below and continues to flow through the beautiful Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River.

Helen Hunt Falls is a scenic 35 foot waterfall located west of Colorado Springs in North Cheyenne Cañon Park. The falls can be seen from the parking lot or you can walk up the stone steps to the bridge over Cheyenne Creek for a great view of the canyon. The falls are named in honor of Helen Maria Hunt Jackson (1830 – 1885), a United States poet and writer who became an activist on behalf of improved treatment of Native Americans by the U.S. government.

The Pe’epe’e Falls are located on the Wailuku River on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Wailuku River runs along the divide between the lava flows of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. The lower reach of the river is used for the generation of hydroelectricity.

Niagara Falls includes three waterfalls, the Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls which sit on the international border between Ontario, Canada and the New York, USA. The combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m).
