Happy New Year everyone. New Year: new model! I’m still waiting for a few parts to arrive to complete the load for my Allelys Mercedes Arocs, before I take its pictures. In the meantime, however, I have started building a new model. It is a DAF XG in the distinctive colours of Manners Transport, from the UK. I’ve been planning this for more than a year and as a result the build is moving quite quickly. I’m using my existing DAF XF as a template, but I am putting quite a bit of effort into making the XG’s cab sufficiently different. Once the tractor is done, I’ll build a step frame trailer and some sort of load. Manners specialises in transporting agricultural equipment, so it’ll likely be a tractor of some description.
