I was really intrigued by this small pond in Acadia National Park along the Carriage Trails. It was almost straight up noon, nap time for photographers, but I really liked the abstraction of the pond and shadows.

Pine Trees, my personal favorite. There is no other sound quite like the wind moving through pine needles to settle my soul. As a kid growing up in North Carolina, I used to lie down in the middle of a pine forest in the soft pine straw and listen for hours to the wind and watch the tall trees sway from side to side. My brain is hardwired to love it.
