I know you're absolutely swamped with work, Aaron darling, so I won't disturb you. Just sit in your vintage Arne Jacobsen Swan chair with its original leather and I'll bring you your hot cocoa in an hour.

Walls are painted White Heron by Benjamin Moore.

Dreamy! Here's what Vitra says:

"The Organic Chair is a comfortable small reading chair and was made in 1940 as a contribution to the New York MoMA's 'Organic Design in Home Furnishings' competition. Formally speaking it was ahead of its time, but owing to the lack of manufacturing techniques, never went into series production. It was not until after 1950 that it became possible to manufacture larger quantities of organically shaped seat shells and market them. The first were chairs such as Eames' famous Plastic Armchair or Saarinen's Tulip Chair. "

The tiny and fabulous Manhattan apartment of Michelle Adams, a former domino magazine stylist and the mastermind behind Lonny and the eco-friendly fabric company Rubie Green. Adams' decor was inspired by the JK Capri Hotel in Italy.

She uses this diminutive space to work on Rubie Green projects, stashing storage and clutter behind a curtain and hanging fabric samples above an inspiration board. She scored the Jonathan Adler Bel Air Lamp (regularly $725) for $100 at his annual sample sale.

I've surfaced from a three-day Mad Men binge, and now all I can do is wait on tenterhooks for the Season 3 premiere next month. In the meantime, I'll continue to obsess over the work of Amy Wells, the show's incredible set designer. She's revealed a few of her furniture and decor sources in various interviews, without going so far as to identify specific pieces. I've read that set designers guard their sources carefully -- and I would, too, if my interiors looked as good as this!

Do a little research, though, and you'll learn that the chair, couch, and coffee table in Don Draper's office (above) are the 'Boxy' models from Futurama, a maker of custom vintage furniture in L.A. Word is that Wells shops there a lot, as well as at Xcape (in Long Beach). The chair in the foreground, above right, looks like Finn Juhl, but I have yet to find a model that's an exact match. If anyone has more info, please let me know!

Genius, right? Flipped up, the desktop provides a place to work, stow bric-a-brac and personal ephemera; flipped down, it hides everything and maintains the smooth, clean lines of the beautiful modern space.
