To make this large Manhattan apartment feel more intimate, designer Nina Freudenberger created a faux chair rail with Railings, a charcoal gray paint by Farrow & Ball. Sofa from Molteni. Praying Mantis floor lamp from White on White. Zsa Zsa and Ikat pillows from Madeline Weinrib. Tray (on ottoman) from Calypso; bowl (on ottoman) from Haus Interior. Rug from the Rug Company.

Designer Steven Gambrel is all about gray -- two of his favorites are Benjamin Moore's Horizon and Alaskan Husky, the latter of which he used in this Manhattan apartment. The sofa is Gambrel's own design; the vintage cocktail table is by Edward Wormley for Dunbar. Curtains made of Clarence House taffeta. The Beauvais carpet is custom.
