The Metroliner was an advanced model produced by Birmingham based Metro-Cammell and was, in the main, used by a few National Express operators for their double-deck coaching needs although City of Oxford bought some for their high profile Oxford - London Citylink branded services. Those used on National Express services were hammered and never lasted long in original form or with their original operators. They became popular converted to open-top and used on London sightseeing duties to enable them to move the masses in what was an increasingly competitive market, although, as can be seen here on this example about to join Oxford Street, at Marble Arch, on a hot 04/08/1995. It was new to Great Yarmouth based Ambassador Travel(918), in 03/1986, being only one four supplied new; 915-8, C915BPW etc. It was acquired by London Coaches, the former London Buses subsidiary, in 1994.
The camera being a Praktica MTL3 with the film being a Boots Colourslide.
