This rather nice Leyland Lioness is seen here on display at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum, Leyland, on 25/09/2022. Latterly with Jersey Motor Transport, where it was registered J8462, it was originally first registered, in 03/1927, and used as a shooting brake for King George V and the Royal Household. Its Leyland body was rebuilt by Thurgood in 1938 as a 26 seat rear entrance coach for further service in Jersey. This museum is well worth a visit, especially if you haven't been for a while or in fact haven't been before. © Peter Steel 2022.
