I heard this before I saw it. Unfortunately, I didn't manage a front shot with its Van Hool esque style front. Apparently, it dates from 1980! The Rodoeste fleet is quite eclectic with a mix of old and nearly new. This B58 is seen here on Avenida Do Mar, on 19/11/2023, thus making this B58 some 43 years old!
Rodoeste – Transportadora Rodoviária da Madeira was founded in 03/1967 by the joining of Empresa Automobilística da Ribeira Brava,Lda. with Sociedade Automobilística de Câmara de Lobos, Lda and the Sociedade de Automóveis do Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, Lda. After the fusion, all bus services operated by those companies started being operated under one single name, Rodoeste.
Rodoeste holds a public license for road transport and operates regular services between Funchal and Câmara de Lobos, Ribeira Brava, Ponta do Sol, Calheta, Porto Moniz, São Vicente and Santana; and also circuit services in Câmara de Lobos, Ponta do Sol, Calheta and São Vicente.
